Collins Solicitors incorporated Patrick Diamond & Co in February 2015  which had been provided legal advice to Randalstown and the surrounding areas since 1990.  In April 2017 we also incorporated McLernon McCann in Magherafelt. We intend to continue to provide a quality service for all our clients. We have invested in state-of the-art Case Management and IT to ensure that we are equipped to deliver an efficient and cost-effective service. We are ISO 9001:2015 Certified. This is the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems which provides a framework and a set of principles for the management of Collins Solicitors that enables us to consistently meet the expectations of our clients. We are proud to act for clients from every walk of life and our clients are assured that their interests are always our priority.

Meet the team

Philip Collins

Philip is from Magherafelt and studied law at Queen’s University Belfast. After a year spent studying business at Notre Dame College, Ohio, he graduated from Queen’s in 2006, taking up the offer of a legal apprenticeship with John McKee & Son Solicitors in Belfast. Philip qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and joined McLernon McCann Solicitors in Magherafelt before leaving to become Principal of Collins Solicitors.


Sharon Craig

Sharon is originally from Randalstown and also studied law at Queen’s. She graduated from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and was admitted to the roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 2009. Sharon was recently accredited with membership of the Children Order panel. Sharon regularly deals with criminal matters including attending Police Stations as well as advising on civil litigation and family law.


Ciara McGlone

Ciara is originally from Ballygawley but now resides outside Magherafelt. She obtained her LLB Honours Law degree from Queens University, Belfast in 2007 and was admitted to the Solicitors’ Roll in Northern Ireland 2010. Ciara previously worked with Logan & Corry Solicitors, specialising in civil litigation, before joining McLernon McCann in 2015. Ciara can also advise on all areas of family law and criminal matters.


Martina Maynes

Martina is originally from Magherafelt and graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1998 with an Honours Bachelor of Laws and qualified as a practising solicitor in September 2000. Martina practised with Doris and MacMahon solicitors, Cookstown since 2000 gaining substantial legal and court experience in particular Matrimonial and Family law. Martina joined Collins Solicitors as a Consultant specialising in Divorce and Ancillary Relief, Matrimonial Agreements and financial negotiations and settlements, Injunctive Relief and Asset Preservation. Martina also deals with cases concerning The Children (NI) Order 1995 of a Public and Private nature including Child Contact disputes, issues with Social Services, Care Proceedings, Secure Accommodation applications and others.




Maoliosa O’Callaghan

Maoliosa graduated in 2002 from Queen’s University, Belfast with LLB in Law and Accountancy. She then attended the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and qualified as a Solicitor in 2004. Maoliosa joined McLernon McCann in June 2005 and since then has dealt with numerous house sales and purchases including acting for developers in the sale of residential housing developments. Maoliosa deals primarily with the administration of deceased’s estates and also has considerable experience drafting wills, powers of attorney and making Controllership applications for those who are no longer mentally capable of managing their own affairs.




Jacqui Brolly

Jacqui is originally from Draperstown and was educated at Rainey Endowed Grammar School.  Jacqui graduated from Queens Institute of Professional Legal Studies and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Judicature for Northern Ireland In 2008.  Jacqui has worked in law firms in Cookstown, Magherafelt and Derry City before joining Collins Solicitors in November 2018.

Jacqui is experienced in most aspects of general practice specialising  in property matters including buying and selling residential and agricultural property, drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney and acting in the administration of deceased’s estates.
